CD22 is a gene encoding a transmembrane receptor protein primarily expressed on B cells, belonging to the immunoglobulin superfamily. As a regulatory receptor, CD22 plays a key role in controlling B cell activation and signaling. It recognizes specific sialylated glycans through its extracellular domain and prevents overactivation of B cells. Its intracellular domain contains ITIMs (immunoreceptor tyrosine-based inhibitory motifs) that mediate negative signaling to regulate immune homeostasis. CD22 is highly expressed in various B cell-related diseases, leukemia, and lymphoma, making it an important target for antibody-drug conjugates (ADC) and immunotherapies. Its selective expression and regulatory function make CD22 a promising target for therapies.
Genomeditech offers CD22-related expression cell lines, proteins, antibodies, and resources for in vitro drug efficacy evaluation.
