CXCR6 (C-X-C Chemokine Receptor 6) is a chemokine receptor that belongs to the G protein-coupled receptor (GPCR) family. CXCR6 features a typical seven-transmembrane helix structure and binds to its ligand, CXCL16. This interaction activates intracellular signal transduction through G protein pathways (such as Gαi), thereby regulating the functions of immune cells. CXCR6 plays a critical role in inflammatory responses, tumor immunity, and immune cell migration.
