ALCAM (Activated Leukocyte Cell Adhesion Molecule) is a gene encoding a transmembrane cell adhesion molecule expressed in various cells including immune and epithelial cells. As a member of the immunoglobulin superfamily, ALCAM mediates tight cell-cell adhesion and signaling through its extracellular domains, facilitating recognition and communication between cells. It plays essential roles in immune cell infiltration, tissue repair, and embryonic development. ALCAM is significantly overexpressed in various cancers, promoting tumor cell migration, invasion, and metastasis. Due to its high expression and biological functions on tumor cells, ALCAM is an ideal target for immunotherapy and ADC, providing new strategies for cancer treatment.
Genomeditech provides ALCAM-related expression cell lines, proteins, antibodies, and related resources for in vitro drug evaluation.
