CXCR4 (C-X-C Chemokine Receptor Type 4) is a chemokine receptor belonging to the G protein-coupled receptor (GPCR) family, widely expressed in various tissues and cells. CXCR4 consists of 7 transmembrane helices, exhibiting the typical GPCR structure. Its primary ligand is the chemokine CXCL12 (also known as SDF-1, stromal cell-derived factor-1), and together they play critical roles in numerous biological functions through signal transduction.
